In December 2012, 6 students from Lafayette College and 6 students from Lehigh University participated in the 1st Annual Lafayette vs. Lehigh Programming Contest sponsored by Lutron. Lafayette won 1st and 2nd places on site in the regional ACM programming contest
On November 10, 2012, two teams of Lafayette students competed at the annual International Collegiate Programming Contest.
